COVID-19 Update March 20, 2020

March 21, 2020 · Important Updates for Patients

IMPORTANT UPDATES AS OF 3-20-2020

We are doing our very best to communicate to you as quickly as we can in this rapidly changing situation. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

WEEKEND CLINIC - SUNDAY ONLY

Beginning this week (Sunday, 3/22), we will be offering clinic hours on Sunday only, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. We ask that you refrain from any walk-in visits. Please call us at 207-303-3300 if you need to make an appointment.

NO WALK-IN LABS

During this time, we are not offering walk-in lab testing. This means if you would like us to do a lab test for you, you must have an appointment. We are making this change so we can limit your exposure to others, and limit exposure for our staff as well.

SCARBOROUGH OFFICE - SCREENING BY MAINEHEALTH

Beginning on Monday (3/23), staff from MaineHealth will be screening every person who enters the 100 Campus Drive building.

Drive through screening will take place under the portico (where you see the big "100" and our signs). Once you have been screened, you will park and then enter the building through that same entrance.

Note: The main entrance (where the big "100" is) will be the only public entrance to the building.

VISITOR RESTRICTIONS

IN AN EFFORT TO PROTECT OUR PATIENTS, WE ARE TEMPORARILY LIMITING VISITORS IN OUR OFFICES.

Only patients who need assistance are permitted to bring one (1) HEALTHY visitor with them into our offices. No children under 18 are allowed in our offices during this time.

BEFORE YOU COME TO SEE US:

We are asking all NECS patients to answer these questions before they come in for an office visit:

1. Do you have a cough?

2. Do you have a fever?

3. Are you having difficulty breathing?

4. Have you had contact with someone who has been exposed to, or tested positive for, COVID-19?

If you answered YES to any of these questions, please call our office at 207-303-3300 before coming in for your visit. We can help determine the right course of action for you, and limit the spread of infection.
