Dr. Erickson is a highly experienced oncologist with a passion for providing compassionate and high-quality cancer care in rural and underserved communities. Graduating from the Medical College of Virginia in 1987, Dr. Erickson discovered her calling in oncology during her fourth year of medical school while training under the mentorship of Dr. Quereshi. It was during this time that she realized the profound impact she could make by supporting patients during the most challenging moments of their lives.
Board certified in Hematology and Medical Oncology, Dr. Erickson brings decades of expertise and dedication to the practice. Her commitment to rural communities led her to Maine in 1994, where she has been providing exceptional cancer care ever since. Despite being a Virginia native and unfamiliar with the winter elements of Maine, Dr. Erickson quickly adapted and has become an integral part of the medical community.
Known for her attentive listening skills, Dr. Erickson believes in the importance of anticipating her patients' needs and concerns. She takes pride in offering personalized treatment plans tailored to each individual's unique circumstances.
Outside of work, Dr. Erickson finds solace in outdoor activities such as skiing and hiking, recognizing the healing power of nature. She also enjoys reading and cooking, often sharing her culinary adventures on her blog, cookingthebooksblog.com.
Dr. Erickson is happily married to her spouse Matt for over 35 years, with whom she shares two adult children and eagerly anticipates the arrival of their third grandchild. While Dr. Erickson loves dogs, she sadly has none.
