"My team at New England Cancer Specialists feels almost like family."
Sarah Emerson of Westbrook, Breast Cancer Survivor
"When I was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 33, I was shocked. But I could tell from my first visit to NECS, they've done this before. They started me on chemotherapy less than two weeks after my diagnosis, and have provided tremendous support through the whole process, including surgeries.
"I love my job as a recreational therapist, so I was grateful that they were able to get me through five months of chemo without having to quit work. Dr. Battelli really feels like my personal physician. If she or my oncology nurse, Amanda Magnoli, ever had a concern, they bent over backwards to get me in immediately.
"NECS has a complete care team, and they all know me. I feel extremely well cared for, physically and emotionally, which is important when dealing with cancer.
"Now I'm back to enjoying everything I love in life—like my family, and running!"
